- The worse the crisis the louder it gets — its own feet stay exactly where they are.
- Catchphrase
- "Charge!" / "Men, trust me and go!" — it never says "I'm coming too".
- Weakness
- When a moment genuinely demands leading from the front, its voice suddenly goes hoarse.
- Proud of
- The number of medals. Most were earned from fighting other geese did.
- Likes
- Hands behind the back, looking down from above. It likes standing somewhere high.
- Secret
- It was badly frightened head-on once and has been afraid of the front ever since. It covers this with the logic that commanders belong at the rear.
- Gets on with
- Kingoose and Broose — of the Vanity Quarter, but in much the same position, so they go about together. When the three gather, none ever corrects another's boasting.
- Awkward with
- Emperoose. In front of a real king the voice halves.
- Weather & seasons
- On rainy days it declares "no charging in this" and orders the whole army to stand by — nobody welcomes it more than it does.
A full member of the false-authority club. It has no actual power and speaks and stands more like a commander than anyone. Only in front of Emperoose does the momentum break.
