- Traits
- A thin frame ยท a slightly bent neck ยท key bunches that differ left and right ยท a rusty key worn close to the chest ยท a sideways glance that listens through doors.
- Habit
- Listens to the doorknob first. Before inserting a key, it checks who is breathing on the other side.
- Catchphrase
- "Being able to open it and being allowed to open it are different things."
- Weakness
- In front of a door it locked itself, its hand slows even though it knows the right key.
- Proud of
- Choosing the right key from the sound alone, for a lock of any era. It can make a new lock even from a broken one โ though it never asks which door it was made for.
- Likes
- The smell of old metal, the short silence just before a door opens, and the time spent cutting keys by hand.
- Secret
- The rusty key on its chest opens the last door it ever locked. It does not yet have the courage to open that door again, so it polishes the key every day.
- Gets on with
- Exitgoose โ Exitgoose finds every exit, and Keygoose checks whom each exit is allowed for.
- Awkward with
- Goose in Wonderland โ with a goose that puts doors in the wrong places, the common sense of locks does not apply.
- Weather & seasons
- On damp days the keys cry first; on clear days it scrapes off the rust. In winter the metal gets cold and it believes the sounds inside doors carry better.
Keygoose's attack is not the strength to break a door. It works out where the opponent's defense is locked and touches that single lock exactly. So although it is a damage dealer, it is closer to a craftsman who understands long-locked things than an aggressive destroyer.
