Grape bullets ยท cape scraps that shine like glass ยท a cat-light landing ยท a conspicuous sparkle.
Habit
Before a fight it picks the shiniest grape and sets it in the middle. Making everyone look at it is the first attack.
Catchphrase
"Look toward the shiny side."
Weakness
In dark places with nothing sparkling it takes a long time to choose a direction. It has to shine itself to focus.
Proud of
The angle of its grape throw. One small grape moves an opponent's gaze and footing at the same time. Even after mealtime is over, it can make an empty plate look the most glamorous.
Likes
Sunlit tables, glossy plates, and fruit it can roll around once before eating.
Secret
The "cat" in its name is something it added itself because it wants to land like a cat. In reality it drops three grapes every time it lands.
Gets on with
Frygoose โ both take guarding the last snack seriously, but Shinegoosecat throws a sparkling grape first to steal Frygoose's gaze.
Awkward with
Omuraigoose โ when Omuraigoose sets grapes beside the sauce as decoration, Shinegoosecat tries to take them back as ammunition.
Weather & seasons
Strongest-looking on sunny days. On cloudy days it carries a small metal plate to make its own light. In winter the grapes go cold and sting its hands, but it insists cold ammunition bounces harder.
Shinegoosecat is not strong because it has a lot of grapes. It is a damage dealer because it knows exactly where one grape has to shine to knock an opponent a step off. That is why it weakens in dark record rooms and becomes needlessly strong at sunlit tables or under festival lanterns.
